Sewerby Hall and Gardens has launched an expanded programme for education providers and learners of all ages, with a new section on its website to outline all the options available.
The venue prides itself on offering a great deal for learners, with two bookable indoor classrooms and The Orangery available for larger groups (of up to 70 students).
February will have a few favourites at the Orangery at Sewerby Hall and Gardens with a selection of wide-ranging concerts.
On Sunday, 2 February at 1.30pm Peter Bull will play a variety of traditional instruments, including the hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, dulcimer, recorders, flute and lute.
Lots of fun is to be found this February as the Sewerby Squirrels sessions will take place at Sewerby Hall and Gardens.
The sessions – held for under 5s and their grown-ups on Mondays during term time (from 10-11.30am) – are based on seasonal events, Edwardian life and Sewerby Hall exhibits. They all include books to read, a sensory area and a quiet corner – plus themed activities.
December’s line-up of concerts at the Orangery at Sewerby Hall and Gardens will be the perfect run-up to Christmas.
On Sunday, 1 December, at 1.30pm, the Buckrose Concert Band will bring in the festive spirit with a selection of Christmas music and carols, along with light classical, popular music and music from film, stage and TV.

Michael was beaten into second place on the competition podium after losing out on the title by half a point. However, he was thrilled to be awarded the next two important prizes – Best Dressed Town Crier and Best Ambassador. These titles are for town crying presentational skills off the podium.
East Riding Archives has created a new, free app that turns smartphones or tablets into virtual ‘time machines’.
‘What Was Here?’ uses historical photos from the archives, plotted onto a Google Maps base map, to show users literally ‘what was here’ at their location and elsewhere across the East Yorkshire region.
