Winners from amongst hundreds of the very best under 18 riders from across the country are celebrating following their performances at the British Eventing International Youth Championships.
The Championships which were held at Bishop Burton College, ran from Wednesday 3 August to Sunday 7 August and saw talented young athletes compete in dressage, cross country and showjumping classes.
Bishop Burton College has played host to hundreds of young riders and their families for a show-stopping Opening Ceremony, to mark the start of the 2022 British Eventing International Youth Championships.
The Youth Championships, which is being held at the college for the second year in a row, sees riders aged under 18 compete in a range of dressage, showjumping and cross country classes from Thursday 4th August to Sunday 7th August. The exclusive Opening Ceremony is a long-standing tradition and highlight of the event.

Friday 20th April saw another great evening of showjumping with everyone having a fun night of competition with in excess of 25 entries. The classes started with the clear round to get people warmed up then went on to 65cm up to 1m classes.

Bishop Burton College hosted a ‘clinic’ by British Eventing where riders were given valuable lessons by experienced riders on their Showjumping techniques. After a few practice runs outside riders then moved indoors where the tackled jumps before having their performance analysed by expert riders.
