Walkington 10K: Race Report

Over 500 runners took part in the annual Airkool Walkington 10k last Friday. On a hot and humid summer’s evening they tackled a challenging hilly course on rural roads between Walkington and Little Weighton. The race attracted a strong field of athletes from running clubs in Yorkshire and a few from further afield but it was local lad Darran Bilton, now running for Leeds City AC, who won the race…

The Oddfellows Arms is located on Eastgate in Beverley, a traditional pub that has survived the test of time. They sell a good selection of beers, food and provide live sporting events in both of their bars and on a big screen.

Hodgsons is a pub with a terrace that over looks the sports fields by the Beverley Leisure Centre. There is a big bar and a function room upstairs that can be hired for private events.
