Beverley Gardeners’ Club is gearing up for another gardening themed talks starting this November with Jaime Blake. His talk will focus on horticultural legend, Alan Bloom.
Ahead of the first talk, Terry Hope from the Club explained a little about the club. Since its creation, he says they have flourished in numbers.
A nice sight in Beverley was seeing tradesmen working on the wall of St Mary’s Church. In December the St Mary’s Church wall was badly damaged after a car hit it.
What was once a damaged is now ten months looking much better. Craftsmen are rebuilding it, restoring St Mary’s to how it was before the accident.
Two exciting new exhibitions will open at the Treasure House in Beverley on Saturday, 15 September.
On the opening day, there will be an Open Event at the Art Gallery when visitors will be able to meet artists, researchers and members of the team at the Treasure House who have been involved in the exhibitions. This free event will run from 1pm – 3pm.
SSAFA the Armed Forces Charity have joined forces with St. Mary’s Church in Beverley to stage a spectacular professionally designed Flower Festival called Beauty From Chaos.
Running from 9-12 August, the event created to Commemorate 100 years since the end of WWI, mark the Royal Air Force centenary and give thanks to those who have served.

White Rabbit Chocolatiers and all-female theatre company She Productions have joined forces to run an Easter ‘Eggstravaganza’ of family entertainment in Beverley.
They are working together on an all-original musical play created by director of She, Annie Kirkman, called ‘Alice’s Eggstravaganza in Wonderland’.
Beverley Chamber Choir will perform a concert of Carols by Candlelight this weekend at the wonderful St Mary’s Church.

When Beverley chef John Robinson got married four years ago he had a wedding gift with a difference for his new wife, Liz.
