Since 2016 the scheme has supported over 40,000 community groups with more than £90million in grants.
Bags of Help is Tesco’s local community grant scheme, which funds thousands of community projects every year.
The projects must meet the criteria of bringing benefits to the community. Throughout October – December 2020 the grant scheme made £2m of support available to local projects focused on children and young people.

The school in Beverley was awarded the money as part of the Bags of Help incentive. Following a vote by shoppers at the Morton Lane store, the school were named winners in the 2019 March / April draw.

From Thursday, November 21 until Saturday, November 23 the two charities will be collecting food in Tesco stores across the UK during the annual Tesco Food Collection. They are looking for local volunteers to encourage shoppers to donate so that as much food as possible can be collected.
