North Bridlington Library will be hosting ‘The Next Big Thing’ on Friday, 19 October, as part of the East Riding Festival of Words.
Debut authors, hotly tipped to become the bestsellers of tomorrow, will all be at the library that afternoon and evening, offering a chance for visitors to explore the best new literature on the market, with tickets from just £5 each.
The Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues Festival, which began in 2007, celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2017.
Performers included jazz’s great Claire Martin OBE and Ray Gelato, Mississippi native Lisa Mills, and Belfast Blues legend Kaz Hawkins. To crown the celebrations a link was made with the Caribbean Island nation of Saint Lucia.
Cricket legend and one of Yorkshire’s greatest living heroes Geoffrey Boycott OBE will be joining the speaker list for The Business Day at Bridlington Spa on Friday 8th June 2018.
His announcement follows that of Joanna Lumley who was recently announced as the headline speaker for the prestigious event as part of Humber Business Week.
