Fundraising Is In The Family For Daisy Appeal Skydivers

The family of a man who died after a long battle with cancer has again stepped up to raise money for the charity which helped prolong his life.

Elliott Tate brought in more than £1,000 for the Daisy Appeal in memory of his Grandad, Bert Purdy, and now Elliott’s cousins have teamed up with a friend to donate more than £800 after jumping out of a plane.

Holistic Therapist Donates Commission To Daisy Appeal

The Daisy Appeal, which is based at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham and covers the Hull and Humber region, will benefit from a full week of commissions donated by Karen Engstrom from her business in Ackworth, West Yorkshire.

A leading hair salon group donated more than £3,000 to the Daisy Appeal after staff completed their annual Olympics in memory of a much-loved former colleague.

Teams from the Unique salons in Beverley, Cottingham and Hessle took to the fields of Blackburn Leisure Centre in Brough for the tenth edition of the sporting challenge and racked up the total raised at “Caroline’s Day” over the years to more than £40,000.
