The men’s and women’s Tour de Yorkshire Trophies will visit Beverley and surrounding villages on Monday, 12 March as part of a week-long tour of Yorkshire ahead of the event, with both races starting in the town on Thursday, 3 May.
Members of the public will be able to catch a glimpse of the silverware in Saturday Market, from 12noon to 1pm, with the trophies also visiting six schools in the morning and five in the afternoon.

This weekend four local lads, Ryan Hilton, Isaac Galloway, Cameron Shreeve and Jake Ingram all from Tickton Primary School completed Triathlon. Starting at 10am in the morning the lads cycled from Tickton to the Beverley Leisure Centre before taking part in run racking up a staggering 20 miles collectively. With the run complete Ryan, Isaac and Cameron entered the swimming pool at the Beverley Leisure Centre and completed 100 lengths….
The Black and White Sparkle Ball was held at the Tickton Grange Hotel on Friday. Organised by Faye Clark on behalf of the Parents and Friends of Tickton School, the event is used to raise money for Tickton Primary School. Now in its 4th year, the ball raised over £500. Tickton Primary School held their annual Christmas Fayre. The day was officially opened by Santa Claus who was accompanied by Mrs Christmas arriving in a horse drawn carriage. There were plenty of stalls, refreshments and face painting however it was of course Santa who was star attraction.
