“8 years ago I started my involvement with Beverley Folk Festival by watching Eddi Reader, who is for me, the most brilliant singer to come out of Scotland and probably the rest of the world.

Almost 12,000 race-goers enjoyed Beverley Racecourse at its very best for The Journal Ladies’ Day mid August, and this coming weekend sees out the month with two major events.
Beverley Folk Festival’s student-run spin-off “The Westwood Sessions” will return on Friday 10th April 2015 with a showcase of young musical talent and emerging artists.
The best local bands from the burgeoning Hull and East Yorkshire music scene will now be able to play in Beverley with the launch of the ‘Quiet Riot’ gigs in Beverley on November
